Ludicom

The adventure starts off when Littleroot Town had began having new members added to there community. These members had children of various ages, eager to explore the outside world.
They wanted to become the best of the best, Pokemon Trainers! To be a pokemon trainer they needed to pass an initial exam, which they had done [It is implied], Now they are ready to start they're own adventure with they're own Pokemon, so they headed off to Professor Birch's lab to get there pokedex and Pokemon. Will you be the top trainer? Will you be the one superior intelligence and research every pokemon?. It's all up to you! Let the story begin!

Aryeh wandered to the lab.  He had come from Mossdeep City to participate and begin the Hoenn league journey.  He had yet to explore all of Hoenn and now was the right time for it due to Prof Birch accepting recruits.

"I'm here for a Pokémon!" exclaimed Aryeh as he walked into the lab.

Noone was in the lab.

"Ummm... that was anti climactic" Aryeh said outloud.

The moving vans pulled up outside of a house.  The Machoke and Vigoroth moved many boxes into the house.  A boy stepped out, he had come all the way from Johto and his name was Brendan.

"Alright then, it's time to find dad in Petalburg then" said Brendan.

"Come into the house first" said his mum "Or you could possibly go to the neighbors to say hi.  Your father's friend Prof Birch lives in one of the houses."

"Ok" replied Brendan.

Brendan strolled along towards the house Prof Birch lived in.  Conveniantly, every house in Littleroot had a sign in front saying the homeowner's names.

OOOFFF!!

Brendan bumped into someone.

"Sorry about that" said Brendan.

"It's ok" replied Aryeh.

"I kinda dont know what's going on today" said Brendan "I moved from Johto just today.  I'm looking for Prof Birch."

"I was just at his lab, he wasnt there" said Aryeh.

"Hmmm...maybe he is at his house then."

"Or doing field work perhaps" said Aryeh.

"Profs doing field work.  I dont believe that.  Prof Oak of Johto and Kanto never leaves the lab, he sends kids to do it for him" laughed Brendan.

"This is a new region.  I myself come from Mossdeep City up in the north" smiled Aryeh.

"How come you dont sound like you are from the north then?" asked Brendan.

"Because I'm not stupid" grinned Aryeh.

"Are we there yet?"

"No"

"Now?"

"No!"

An engine roared to a stop.
"What happened?"

"Gas"
"I'll fill it up while you go to Littleroot."

The doors of a truck opened, a beautiful breeze flew by, "Woah. Reminds me of Cherrygrove" Said Zohaib, looking at his surroundings.

He walked around town and went to the nearby pokemon center. He walked up to the nurse. "Do you know where Littleroot is?" He asked.

"Of Course! Just down that route 101 over there. You look new around here. If you need any help don't be afraid to stop by." ?The Nurse replied.

"Thank you!" He said Joyfully walking out.

He walked through route 101 and saw an odd man looking at a nest.

He ignored the man and headed into Littleroot.

He saw a two people chatting, they looked about his age.

He ran up to them.

"Hey! Are you here for the Hoenn League too?"

"I am here for the Hoenn league, I dont know about this kid though" said Aryeh.

"I've only just moved here" said Brendan "I didnt know this place had a league."

"Yeah it's gonna be pretty cool" said Aryeh "Maybe later."

"Maybe" said Brendan "Anyway gotta go, I'm heading over to find Prof Birch."

Brendan walked off.

"Alright then, guess I'll wait at the lab" said Aryeh before turning to Zohaib "I guess if you are here for the league, you can wait too!"

"Your mission is to locate the meteorite containing the virus" said a person hidden in the shadows.

"I will do" replied a girl.

"I have sent you the information.  Good luck Luna.  Soon we will use its powers as our plan B in our quests providing Plan A doesnt work, which it will" said the shadowed person.

"Actually, I'll go look for the professor, I think I saw someone who looked like him back in route 101," Said Zohaib

Aryeh sat by the lab and waited for the Prof to return.  Meanwhile, Brendan went and knocked on the door of Prof Birch's house.  A woman opened the door.

"Hello!  Oh you must be Brendan" smiled the woman "We were expecting you'd come over.  My husband isnt here at the moment, he is up in Route 101 studying.  You know how profs are!  Anyway my daughter is upstairs if you want to say hi.  I'm sure you two could be friends."

"Sure, I'll say hi since I'm the new neighbor" said Brendan.

Gold stepped off the boat.

"This new region will be owned by my awesome Johto powers!  I might not be allowed to bring my Johto Pokémon over but this stupid place will be dominated by Gold!  I beat Red for gods sake!" exclaimed Gold.

"Shut up" said a person "You are in Hoenn now, noone cares about Red."

"Grrrr" growled Gold.

((Gold is the annoying GSC fanboy who hated Gen 3 cos of the whole reboot of it all xDD ))

A tall girl walked up the grassy hill leading down from Oledale. She sat down at the summit of the hill, sighing. Her legs ached from the long walk from her home. She still had some ash on her. She brushed it off of herself and smiled fondly as she remembered her hometown. She had been living with a kindly man by the name of Professor Cozmo ever since she had set out from hometown. He took her in as an apprentice. She learned a great deal from him, too. But merely a week ago, the good Professor asked a favor of Kloud. He saw her natural talent with Pokemon, and he asked her to go on a journey. He wanted her to look for anything that may be of interest to their studies. But even more, he wanted her to get out of the small town of Fallarbor and see more of the world.

Kloud was shaken out of her daydreaming when she heard voices. Maybe she was near Littleroot? She gets closer to the edge of the hilltop, peering down. Life would be a lot easier if she had a map. She had to wonder how she'd made it so far without a Pokemon, anyways. Her Goggles had been a help in the desert, but she only had those due to her research. If a wild Pokemon were to have attacked, she would have been toast. She slid forward slightly, suddenly having the sensation that she might fall. "Uff... Just a little more, and I'll see who's talking..."

Jay walked into Littleroot from the surrounding hilltops, breathing deeply as he did. He decided to let his new friend Page out. He named his new Torchic after his favorite guitarist, and he was hoping that one day, Page would learn to appreciate his music. He shifted Lucy from his left shoulder onto his right as he slowed down. He saw some kids in front of the old professor's lab and offered himself a quiet giggle. They would be wanting their pokemon all right. Jay had had his old friend from Kanto pull some strings so that he could get his the week before and the two were doing alright.

"Reminds me. I should give ol' Blue a call to thank him for talking to the professor," Jay smiled to his Torchic. Blue was an old friend that he had met when a benefit show was organized in Kanto to help rebuild Cinnabar Island. Jay managed to win a radio contest to play a set, and lo and behold that Leader Blue would be the MC. Jay's music and his likable persona set the two off on the start of a great friendship. While he did occasionally have to tolerate Blue's banter about his rival Red, it was worth it. Jay opened up his PokeGear and frowned. "No service..." He shrugged and continued along.

As he neared Littleroot, Jay felt his feet tire so he set himself and Lucy down. It would be hard to carry his guitar all over Hoenn, but worth it in the long run when he would get his big break. So, like all dedicated musicians, Jay sat down to play a song. He strummed the familiar strings and soon jumped right into an old campfire song for Page and himself. "Camp Town Ladies, Sing this Song, Do Da, Do Da..."

Kloud fell off of the hilltop when she heard what sounded like a young man singing and a guitar playing. She made a quiet thud as she hit the grass. "Owww...." She stretches slightly, making sure nothing is broken. Whoever was playing had been nearby. Behind her, she figured. Maybe off in the forests to the edges of the route. Who knew? She looked around, curious as to the source of the sound. Seeing no one, she calls out. "Hello...? Anyone there....?"

She sits up and faces where she fell from, watching intently for any sign of movement.

"Do Da Do Da-" Jay stopped abruptly. Someone had just called out. He zipped Lucy up in her case and recalled Page to his ball. He stomped out the fire as a safety precaution and started walking in the general direction of the voice. It wasn't long until he was out of the small woods he was in and out gazing over Hoenn from a hilltop, majestic mountains in the distance, and rolling hills of green. Finally he looked down and saw a girl looking up at him from the short fall below. He skirted down the cliff face for about a three feet until he was back on solid ground.

He dropped down next to the stranger and flashed her his signature smile, one now well known throughout some cities in Kanto where he managed to put out his first record. He extended his hand and said, "Hey there. Name's Jay." He let Page out from his Pokeball. "And this here is my buddy Page. Where you the one calling back there?" He chuckled.

Kloud was a bit shocked by how fast he had responded to her calls. "Oh, hi. It's nice to meet you... My name is Kloud." She smiled brightly and grabbed his hand, helping herself up. "Yep, that was me. I heard the music and didn't know anyone was behind me. It caught me a little off guard. It was beautiful, though... Are you a singer?"

Kloud scratches Page's head affectionately. "I'm here to get my starter, too. Page is so cute!" So like Kloud to become distracted so quickly by something cute. She thought for a moment about which starter she would pick- Torchic was always a popular choice, true. But she just didn't know what she wanted yet. She wanted to meet the starters in person before choosing.

((sorry that my first few posts havnt been that long or as complex as my rp posts usually, but it was late last night but I wanted to get a couple posts in, they should be better quality from now on))

Brendan walked upstairs and knocked on the door of Prof Birch's daughter's room.

"Come in!" shouted a voice "The door's open!"

Brendan slowly opened the door and stepped into the room.  A girl was going over her belongings, packing things into a bag.

"Hi there" smiled Brendan.

The girl spun around to face Brendan.

"And you must be our new neighbour.  My name is May!" she smiled.

"I'm Brendan, nice to meet you" smiled Brendan "Say, what are you doing?"

"I'm packing some stuff because my dad is giving me a Starter Pokémon and I'm heading out on a journey" explained May "I may or may not take on the league, but I'm going to research and capture Pokémon mostly."

"It seems as if a lot of people are getting Pokémon and heading out on journies" laughed Brendan "I guess I'll be alone then."

"Maybe we can sort something out later" said May "It was nice meeting you, but I gotta rush.  I'm heading out to the routes to sort out some stuff."

"Catch ya later" smiled Brendan.

"How long have you been waiting out there" asked Brendan, approaching Aryeh who was still sitting in front of the lab.

"A while" said Aryeh "I'm quite bored now."

"Prof Birch isnt in the house, so I assume he is in the routes researching" said Brendan.

"Then let's go!" Aryeh stood up.

The two guys walked up to Route 1.

"Ahhhh!!!" screamed a voice.

"What was that?!" gasped Aryeh.

Aryeh and Brendan ran over to where the screaming was coming from.  A guy in a lab coat was running around in a circle being chased by two little Pokémon.  A Zigzagoon and a Poochyena to be exact.

"Help!" yelled the guy.

"I think that might be Prof Birch" said Aryeh.

"Yes that's me!" shouted the guy "Now help!"

"What do we do?" asked Brendan "We have no Pokémon."

"My briefcase!" yelled Birch "I have a Pokémon in it!"

Brendan ran over to the briefcase and took out a Pokéball "Alright, it's time to battle" he grinned.

Brendan threw the Pokéball up in the air and out came a small chick.

"Tor! Chic!" Torchic said valiantly.

"Torchic is a great Pokémon" said Aryeh "I want one of those to be my starter."

"Then let's see one in action" Brendan exclaimed "Attack with Scratch!"

"Chic!" Torchic lept up into the air and scratched down on the Poochyena.

"Yena!" the Poochyena growled.

"Zag!" the Zigzagoon added before charging towards Torchic with a tackle attack.

"Two versus one isnt fair" said Brendan "But even with these odds, let's show them who is boss!"

Torchic once again scratched the Poochyena.  Poochyena hobbled slightly before fainting.

"Critical!" Aryeh laughed.

"Zag.." Zigzagoon walked back slightly after seeing the Poochyena faint.

"Zigzagoon was quite scared there" said Aryeh "Poor thing."

Birch walked over to Brendan and Aryeh "The 'poor thing' chased me" he sighed.

"No harm done" said Aryeh "Brendan used that Torchic well."

"Yeah I havnt actually battled before" said Brendan.

"You assumed it knew Scratch though" said Birch "Which means you know what's going on so you have the makings of a good trainer.  Wait a minute, did you say Brendan?  You must be Norman's son!"

"Correct" answered Brendan.

"And I'm Aryeh" added Aryeh "I came here from Mossdeep to see you so I could start a journey."

"In that case, both of you come to my lab with me" said Birch.

They followed Birch to the lab.

"Hello there" said a voice inside the lab.

"Hello" said Birch.

The owner of the voice walked forward.  It was Gold.

"I'm here for a Pokémon" grinned Gold smugly "I hope they are at least half as good as Johto's starters."

"Oh my god, it's Gold" gasped Brendan "He is a Johto champ!"

"Heh, guilty as charged" said Gold.

"Well then Johto champ" said Birch "You can get a Pokémon to.  And trust me, they are way better than Johto's starters."

"So why am I here?" asked Brendan "I didnt come here for the journey."

"Well you should have" said Birch "I want to give you the Torchic you saved me with.  You handled it very well."

"Really?" Brendan gasped.

"Yes, really" replied Birch.

"Can I have a Torchic too?" asked Aryeh.

"Sure thing" said Birch.

"Thank you" Aryeh smiled.

"What about me?" said Gold.

"Look at the poster with the pictures of the starters on and choose one" said Birch.

Gold looked at the poster thoughtfully.

"No Cyndaquils or Chikoritas or even Totodiles" he sighed to himself "I guess these will have to do.  I'll go with Treecko."

"You decided?" asked Birch.

"Treecko" Gold answered swiftly.

"Very well" said Birch "Let's get you all your Pokémon and Pokédexes!"

"Wow, a journey straight away" thought Brendan "This will be cool..."

Luna stood on the rooftop of the Pokémon Center on Oldale Town.  The breeze in the air was strong, her hair flowing back.

"It's time to begin Operation Aqua Alien" she smiled to herself.

"Well. Sorta." Jay laughed and scratched the back of his head. Page sighed pleasantly as Kloud petted his head. "So, since your here, you want to head down to the old Professor's lab?"

"Sure, that'd be great! I can't believe I met a musician. Too cool!" Kloud smiles as they head towards Littleroot's Pokemon Lab. "I study rocks, stars, things like that. I'm studying the relation of Pokemon to space and the environment. I also like to draw stuff I see in the field.. That's what I do." She felt it was fitting to tell Jay a little about what she did, too. They soon reached the edge of town. After all, it was a rather short walk to Littleroot from Oledale.

"Aw shucks. Now you're gonna make me blush. Haha" Jay chuckled. He felt good that he met someone already in the strange new continent, and he was starting to look forward to the new adventures. Jay listened intently to Kloud's daily list of activities, nodding occasionally to confirm he was still listening. As they drew into Littleroot, Jay saw some kids and Professor Birch. They were too far off to see exactly what was happening, so Jay shrugged it off. Once in Littleroot's borders, Jay pointed the way to Birch's lab and motioned for Kloud to follow.

Kloud nods and walks over to the Lab, knocking on the door and entering quietly. "Hello, Professor Birch..." She quieted down when she saw the others, and took a moment to wonder if she was interrupting. After seeing the Pokedexes in their hands, she decided that they had likely finished most of their business, so she spoke again. "I'm Kloud. Professor Cozmo sent you a message to let you know that I was coming. I'm supposed to get my starter Pokemon today." She smiled brightly at the group and waited for the Professor to reply.

She was feeling much better than she had when she left Fallarbor. At first, she was nervous that she would get hopelessly lost, or that she wouldn't find anyone to talk to. But Jay seemed nice enough... If he was headed in the same direction after this, maybe they could travel together? And what about these strangers in the lab? Her mind was buzzing with questions, but the biggest one had to be about which starter she'd pick. She had an idea of which she wanted, and couldn't wait to see it!

((I don't know if Birch is Aryeh's character or not as far as the story is concerned, or if he has anything planned, so I'll wait.))

((Thank goodness I guessed correctly then LOL. Now to wait for Steel so we can continue. ^^))

Brendan and Aryeh walked out of the lab, followed by Gold.

"So anyone wanna battle?" asked Brendan.

"That would be unfair" said Gold "You both chose Fire types and I chose a Grass type."

"Well my Torchic is lv6 for having battled before, you guys both have Lv5s and none of them know STAB moves yet" said Brendan.

"In that case, I'll battle the other lv5" said Gold.

"Oh wow, watching Champion Gold battle will be so cool!" grinned Brendan.

"Heh, alright then.  Let's battle Gold" said Aryeh "My cousins Tate and Liza are Gym Leaders so I know exactly what to do, so dont think you have the advantage.  You are in a new region now!"

"Well I'm sure my skills can carry onto this silly place" said Gold "Battle!"

"If he keeps going first, I wont have a chance" said Aryeh "Torchic needs to score a Critical Hit or else I'm done for."

"Correct" said Gold "But Torchic being strong enough to Critical Hit is very low.  You clearly arent as good a trainer as I am."

"We'll see about that!" yelled Aryeh.

"See, I can bond with my Pokémon straight away" explained Aryeh "So when we need them, we'll get the wins."

"Urggg..." sighed Gold, walking off.

"Cool dude, you beat Gold" laughed Brendan.

"Thanks to Torchic" Aryeh smiled "I think I'll nickname my Torchic.  How about... Fire!"

"Chic!" Torchic said happily.

"Fire it is" said Aryeh "It's time to head off then."

"Wait, can I come with" said Brendan "I moved here like today so you probably know more about Hoenn than I do.  So it would help."

"Sure" said Aryeh.

"Prof Birch's daughter May is up in some of the higher routes, we should go look for her" said Brendan.

"Let's go then" said Aryeh "Above Route 101 is Oldale Town which is the next place to go."

The two of them began to walk up Route 101.  Brendan looked up at the clear and amazing sky.  Hoenn seemed so much nicer than Johto was.  He knew he was gonna have fun.

A strange creature flew through the skies.  It was long and green.  It looked down at Brendan.

"What?" thought Brendan "What is that creature looking at me?"

"Hmmmm..." thought the creature "Those kids are going to be important."

((Route 101. And Sorry I missed your post because I have newest post at top.))

Zohaib walked over the hill and saw nothing, he walked down the hill, and still there was nothing.

"Why is nobody here." He asked himself.

He walked into the grassy area of the route. He saw a small red object in the grass.
It shined in the sunlight. He ran over and saw that it was a stray poke ball!

He reached for it, but something attacked his hand.
It was a zigzagoon!

"Ahh!" He said.

It attacked agian but he dodged it, only to trip and fall in the grass. He was right next to the pokeball, he grabbed it.
The Zigzagoon pounced on top of him, but Zohaib managed to release the pokemon within. The light blinded him, and he uncovered his eyes to see a small blue creature attacking Zigzagoon.

"What pokemon are you?" Zohaib asked.

The small pokemon launched a burst of water at Zigzagoon causing it to faint.

"Water Type. Thanks for saving me! Now let's get you back to your owner." Said Steel.

Zohaib ran back to Littleroot and saw the others by the entrance.

He ran up to the lab and saw Professor Birch and two others.

"Hi, I'm Zohaib, and you must be professor Birch!" He said quickly as he was filled with excitement.

"Yes, I see your here for the Hoenn League Challenge along with the others" He said joyfully.

"Yes I am, But I have meaning to ask you. Who is this little fella?" Said Zohaib. Mudkip walked in front of Zohaib.

"OH! Thank you! I was out in the field looking for the pokeball, I had four of them on me, but one got away, So I suggested that it might be back in route 101 where I do my research. That is Mudkip, A water type pokemon that I give out to trainers as a Starter. He seems to be very fond of you.I think somebody has chosen his starter." Said Birch.

"Yea! I will call him ______!" Said Zohaib.

"Now for you two, What starter's will you choose?" Said Birch, looking at the two other trainers.

"Um.... I pick..... Treecko!" said Kloud decisively. She looks to the person who just entered the room, the guy who just got a Mudkip. So many others... She wondered if it was normally this busy at the lab. She hoped that the Professor hadn't run out of Pokemon before she got there...

Jay decided to walk in after watching all of the other kids run inside. He laughed to see all the excitement, the same excitement he felt only a few days before. "Hey there Professor. Just felt like stopping by again."

((Fail post. Just didn't want to be left out. xD))

"Hey I'm Zohaib" He Said To Kloud.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you. My name is Kloud." Kloud smiles as she turns. She had taken her Pokeball containing Treecko, and let it out. It crawled onto her shoulder, curious as to who this new person was. She laughed. Treecko tickled!

"It looks like everyone is here for a starter today. It's so strange to see such crowds."

"Oldale Town!" grinned Aryeh "This place actually has a Pokémon Center in it."

"So it sounds like Littleroot was kinda rubbishy then" said Brendan "So I'm glad to be heading off then."

"As league battlers, we dont have a Gym till Rustboro City so we have to go through to Petalburg City before hand" explained Aryeh.

"Petalburg!  That's where my dad is!"

"Why is he there?" Aryeh asked.

"He is the new Gym Leader.  He uses tough Normal type Pokémon" answered Brendan.

"Nice.  However Petalburg is the fifth Gym so we'll have to return there later."

"Ummm we've been walking and I dont know where we are" Brendan laughed.

"Talking and Walking at the same time sent us up Route 103 instead of 102" said Aryeh "We cant go through much of 103 because there is a water route in our way."

"Wait... up there" Brendan gasped "That's May!  The Prof's daughter!"

"Well then.. let's go say hello" laughed Aryeh.

"All is going according to plan" Luna said over the phone, a mischevious grin across her face with the complete lack of remorse for her actions "I'm stealing the meteorite from Rustboro's Devon Cooperation very shortly.  I have all the supplies needed and then we can continue."

"Very good" the voice from the other end of the phone said "Master Archie will be very pleased.  Once the power of the oceans is ours, we can spread it into space!"

"Hi there" smiled May "Who's your friend Brendan?"

"I'm Aryeh, I'm Brendan's new travelling partner!" said Aryeh "He knows nothing about Hoenn so I let him hang around me since he needs the help."

"Give me a break, I'm from Johto and we know nothing about geography in Johto" yelled Brendan.

"That's because it's all black and white if you use your regular Gameboy" said Aryeh.

"What the hell?" said Brendan confused.

"Nothing" grinned Aryeh.  ((breaking the fourth wall as a joke is ok and LOL))

"So... any of you wanna battle?" asked May.

"I will" said Brendan.

"Good luck then" said Aryeh "The chick's got a Mudkip."

"How do you know?" said Brendan.

"Because she has a Mudkip on her head" said Aryeh.

Brendan looked up.  A Mudkip sat on May's head.

"Kip" smiled the Mudkip.

"Yea, As soon as that other kid gets his starter, we can head up with the others I saw." Said Steel

((Aryeh, you're setting yourself way to ahead of everyone else. That's one of the drawbacks to having a ton of characters. You start to just RP as yourself. Slowdown. I suggest you don't use as many characters. And throw some description in your posts. Just dialogue makes your posts seem really flat. Just some friendly advice))

((I'm not that far ahead, I'm just getting myself in some situations to stay in.  And besides I like doing a balance of posts, some which is just my characters and some which is other players involved too.  Not every post has to be with other people.  I like setting up stuff first.  I like using lots of characters, it makes things so much easier so I can have lots of discussions between them instead of talking to myself cos it becomes unreal and ridiculous.  Besides having lots of characters actually slows it down and stops me getting far ahead, since they all have to do stuff instead of one person heading far off without interuption from others.  It's an RP which requires more "getting to the point" than a normal novel does so I lay off the descriptive paragraphs on purpose. I want them to speak and discuss things.  So your advice kinds of contradicts what I'm going for.  I can be descriptive but in an RP I choose to not be.  Do you really want paragraphs of info or do you want me to get to the point and advance plot?  For example TV shows dont have tons of descriptions, they have discussion as things happen. Most of the Pokémon anime and manga is discussion.  I try to make the right amount of balance.  And in an RP, the balance has to be more on the dialogue side than the descriptive side.))

((I disagree. The point you're trying to make is rediculous. There is no description in manga or anime because its a cartoon! The description is the pictures!))

Jay was right about me not being descriptive enough in my RPs like I am irl with my own stories.  I hope this post will patch it all up between us.  This is also going to be my new RP style with more of a balance of dialogue and non dialogue unlike my previous rp thing which was probably 85% dialogue, and thinking about everything I may have gotten quite defensive about my posts, but Jay was right about the balance being off.  Hopefully this is closer to 50/50.  I can RP, I know I can and I'm far fron useless (see: airavon), but I know there is always room for improvement and I should learn to take criticism better.  I'm not perfect, not even at stories despite it being a big part of my life.  I hope things can be ok, even though this RP probably would die anyway since obviously they do, but I wanted to do this post.  If anyone reads it through, I'll be very grateful.))

The moving van traversed through Hoenn's routes.  It had only just gotten off the ferry from Slateport's harbour.  Getting a fairly large van all the way from the Johto region was difficult, but it was carrying the wife and son of the new Gym Leader of Petalburg City and thus a change in the Hoenn region's Pokémon League lineup.  Finally after a long journey, the moving van pulled up outside of an empty house in the quaint town of Littleroot.  Out of the van came a few Vigoroth and Machoke, strong and experienced Pokémon who were used to carry the boxes full of belongings into the house.  A woman followed by her son Brendan came out of the van too and went into the house.

"It's different to Johto, but it's a going to be a new adventure for us and your father" the woman said to her son, with a smile on her face giving a good impression about the land of Hoenn.

"Alright" agreed Brendan "I guess it's time to find dad in Petalburg City since he left before us and is already setting up in the Gym."

"It's a bit soon for that" said Brendan's mother "We need to get settled first.  Why dont you go find the neighbors and say hello.  Our neighbor is Proffesor Birch, who is a friend of your fathers.  He has a daughter around your age too."

"I'll go and say hi then" said Brendan, walking out of the house; besides he didnt have much to do since the Vigoroth and Machoke did most of the work due to being bulky brute Pokémon.

Brendan strolled along towards the house Prof Birch lived in.  Conveniantly, every house in Littleroot had a sign in front saying the homeowner's names.

A helicopter landed in Route 101 which was just above Littleroot.  Route 101 was a small road with lots of greenery.  A few small Pokémon lived in the tall grass.  Large gusts of the wind blown by the helicopter caused a large ruckus.  The Pokémon fled deeper into the grass.  All the way from Mossdeep City, a boy stepped out of the helicopter.  He wore a blue shirt underneath a khaki coat that flowed in the wind caused by the helicopter.  He held his hands in his pockets and walked away from the helicopter down towards Littleroot Town.  The helicopter itself once again took off into the air.  The boy looked up at it, smiling.  His name Aryeh and he was going to become a Pokémon Master.  He had yet to explore the Hoenn Region and now with Proffesor Birch accepting recruits, he finally had the oppurtunity to do so.  Aryeh reached the door of the Pokémon Lab and walked in.  However noone was there.

"This is very anti-climactic" Aryeh said to himself as he thought hard about where to go next "Perhaps I should head back up to Route 101."

"Your mission...should you choose to accept it; is to apprehend a meteorite containing an alien virus" said a person hidden within the shadows, he used a machine to disguise his voice, making it deep and booming.

"I will do so" replied a girl "I will get this meteorite from Rustboro City's Devon cooperation and then bring it back to base."

"Good luck Luna" replied the scary sounding voice "Soon we will use its powers as our plan B in our quests providing Plan A doesnt work, which it will anyway."

As Brendan walked through Littleroot Town, Aryeh was making his way back to Route 101.  However neither of them knew that they were in eachother's path and were about to meet eachother.

OOF!

Because he was reading various signs, Brendan didnt see where he was going and therefor he bumped right into Aryeh.  Brendan fell back on the ground which was luckily only just soft grass.  Aryeh pulled Brendan up off the ground.

"Thanks... I'm so sorry about that" said Brendan "I wasnt looking where I was going and..."

"It's ok" replied Aryeh, laughing a bit "No harm was done."

"I'm kind of confused today since I've only just moved here all the way from the Johto Region" Brendan sighed, he was quite worn out from the long trip across the ocean.

"That's very far to go" said Aryeh.

"I know" agreed Brendan "Though I've been told to find our neighbor Proffessor Birch and say hello, but I've gotten lost."

"Lost!" Aryeh laughed loudly "This town is tiny!  Anyway, I was just at his lab and he was not there.  I'm assuming he is out doing field work so I'm going to head back up to Route 101."

"Profs doing field work.  I dont believe that.  Prof Oak of Johto and Kanto never leaves the lab, he sends kids to do it for him" Brendan grinned.

"This is a new region, so a lot of things can surprise you" replied Aryeh.

"So do you live here then?" Brendan asked.

"I am here for the Hoenn League!" Aryeh exclaimed, trying to look tough.

"I didnt know this region had a league too!" gasped Brendan.

"Well you only just moved here."

Brendan nodded in agreement.

"Anyway, I gotta go" said Aryeh, beginning to walk off "Bye!"

He trudged through the mud and finally made his way into Littleroot Town.  His name was Gold and he was the Champion of the Johto League, of course here in Hoenn that meant absolutely nothing.  Gold's hair was slightly crazy and it came out of his hat.  His grumpy face took your eye away from that though.  The grumpyness of it all was not something you'd expect from a powerful trainer who once defeated an evil group called Team Rocket.

"This new region will be owned by my awesome Johto powers!  I might not be allowed to bring my Johto Pokémon over but this stupid place will be dominated by me - Gold!  I beat Red for gods sake!" exclaimed Gold, the arrogance overcoming him.

Sadly for him, Gold was not allowed to bring his Pokémon fron Johto over to Hoenn.  "Compatability Issues" the people called it.  Gold was not impressed.

Brendan had reached Birch's house and knocked on the door.  A woman answered the door; it was Birch's wife.

"Hello!  Oh you must be Brendan" smiled the woman "We were expecting that you would come over.  My husband isnt here at the moment as he is up in Route 101 studying.  You know how proffesors are!  Anyway my daughter is upstairs if you want to say hi.  I'm sure you two could be friends."

"Sure; I'll say hi since I'm the new neighbour" said Brendan.

Brendan walked up the stairs.  Normally walking up stairs was easy, but he was worn out and they felt twice as long as they really were.  The only thing keeping him going were the thoughts of the new adventures in this region.  He already knew that it was going to be a lot more fun than Johto ever was.  He may even be able to get his own Pokémon at some point.  He knocked on the door of Birch's daughter's room.

"Come in!" shouted a voice "The door's open!"

Brendan slowly opened the door and stepped into the room.  A girl was going over her belongings, packing things into a bag.

"Hi there" smiled Brendan "I'm Brendan, nice to meet you."

The girl spun around to face Brendan.  She held a Pokéball in her hand. 

"My name is May" she replied "You must be our new neighbour.  Anyway I have to go because I've just been packing some stuff because my dad has just given me a starter Pokémon and I'm heading out on a journey."

"It seems everyone is going on a journey besides me" said Brendan disapointed "I guess I'll probably be bored in Hoenn."

"Then go on a journey too!" May laughed, she knew that a journey could be so much fun and though she didnt know if she was taking on the league or not, she was definately going to research and capture Pokémon in order to assist her father in learning everything about Hoenn's wonderful Pokémon.

Brendan didnt entirely know what to say.  He weakly smiled.  He wanted to go on a journey but he didnt know if he was able to do.  For starters he didnt have a Pokémon of his own, not to mention he had only just moved here and didnt know anything about the region itself.  His thinking was cut short as May rushed past him and out the door.

"Gotta run!" May said quickly as she wooshed out of the room.

Brendan made his way out of Birch's house and made his way up to Route 101 himself.  Maybe he'd have luck catching a Pokémon or something.  After all, he was always a good friend Pokémon and perhaps he could achieve the same results here in the Hoenn Region!  Maybe he wouldnt need to actually battle the Pokémon and he could get it to join him without the need of a Pokéball.  He smiled at the thought of being surrounded by tons of Pokémon, all smiling and being happy.  The room in his imagination, was filled with tons of cakes and baloons and other party things.  Maybe he'd be a League Champion here and have tons of epic parties to celebrate.  His fantasy ended though as Aryeh walked back up to him.

"Little soon for a party dont you think" said Aryeh.

"What?" Brendan was shocked since Aryeh knew what Brendan was imagining.

"You were mumbling to yourself about parties" said Aryeh.

"Oops, I didnt notice" Brendan felt embarrased.
