Why is Kpop becoming so poplar with kids these days?
Can't speak for every fan, but I'm in it for the bubble-gum pop cute and quirky/crazy cute songs which are hard to find in western music if they exist at all. Also, for someone like me who doesn't understand Korean, ignorance is bliss. The meaning of the song is one less thing I have to worry about. I like a song if it's cute/catchy/both and if I like the little bits of English in it. As for the meaning, usually you get a grasp of what the song is about through the flow of the song and the bits of English included. It's not like an upbeat song with the lyrics "Kissing you baby" will be about "fuck the world, I hate this shit, I want to commit suicide" or some shit like that. Plus I've picked up key words and phrases which most commonly occur in songs so I usually get a pretty good grasp of what an artist is singing about.

The fug is strawberry milk?
A group consisting of a pair of twins. Quite popular in Korea because they are a part of a larger and more popular 5-member group called Crayon Pop. Any k-pop fan who is up to date with what's happening in the k-pop scene right now should at least have heard of them. http://www.soompi.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/strawberry-milk-.jpgCongrats to both of you magoo and breakdanzkat Are people on ludicom lucky or something? Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket, lol. Haha thanks. I usually don't believe in luck, but this has been a pretty good year for me in general.

Checked my Twitter account and found this. I'm quite happy that I am one of the winners of the giveaway. Only problem is that I already ordered the same album, autographed as well. Not that I don't want it, but I'm going to try to get rid of this one when both this and the one I ordered arrive since it would be pretty pointless to have two of them. Getting rid, in this context, doesn't mean I'm just going to throw it out. That would be terrible. If I find another fan in person, I'll give it to them if they really want it. If you're thinking that I might be getting scammed, I can assure you that I am not. I've won an album from a giveaway by them before, and it's happily sitting on my desk.

what are you going to college for?
Also, going to see the book of life tomorrow. Get hyped >:U
I'm trying to get into an engineering program of some sort. I'm also interested in a program that involves computers. I have pretty high marks in my Math and Science courses so I think I should be fine. What worries me is that when I apply for university, if it turns out that I dislike the program I get into, I can't go back. For our applications, we have to pay $145 for 3 program options and a $49 for each additional option after 3, so I have to carefully pick my options.

There'd be more going on if you stopped lurking :v
I try, but it's kinda hard to be active when I cannot relate to a lot of the discussions. Can't really relate to any Pokemon or general gaming threads because I haven't played Pokemon in over a year now because my DS broke. The last game in the series I played was Black 1 and I don't really see the point in getting a 3DS and continuing with the series since my interest in gaming has died down. But since we've started a conversation, maybe I'll be a little more active if we could keep this going. I understand, the activity going on this site right now is like the ancient remains of PPN. It's beyond saving, all we can really do is postpone its death... that's if you don't consider the site to be pretty much dead already.
Ah it really makes me miss the old days. There's so many names I can't even remember, that I used to interact with a lot.
A few months ago I actually played a game over facebook with Eric (the turtle asian guy)
We played a game where we each take turns naming PPN members, and we suprisingly kept the game going a long time, and we both kicked up some serious nostalgia (and feels ;_;)
I remember when Eric mentioned Darkness Unleashed and then we started talking about pokedollars cuz he had so much lol
I would probably be able to name only a handful. Obviously the people on Ludicom I would be able to name, plus a bunch of notable members. Maybe even the members I used to chat with on MSN. But I have already forgotten most of the community. Honestly, what impresses me is that fact that after 5-6 years since the community was formed, a few of you have managed to stick together, even after the downfall of the original community. Just like you, it really makes me miss the old days as well. I still remember those times when I would wake up in the morning and go on MSN in order to chat with you guys with PPN open in my browser in the background.

I think it's just because of the catchy tune
Gangnam Style gained insane fame when a significant portion of its listeners didnt have a clue what the lyrics meant
aka, the tune matters more than the lyrics
K-pop in a nutshell.
