I just got Dark Souls, and I'd love to go Sunbro with somebody. I own borderlands and I'd love to go back to back with somebody. But the thing is, i don't know who to ask since I don't know who owns what systems or ect.

Kloud and I own every Nintendo console after the 64 except the WU, every PlayStation except 4, and we have a limited steam library.

Only reason to get a Gamecube if you have a Wii is because of the Gameboy player.

I don't want to get one anymore, it's just that I wish, when I was younger, I got a Game Cube in place of the original Xbox.

This list could look a lot bigger, but I'll use the simplified styling:

-Every Nintendo home console from NES - Wii
-Gameboy/GB Pocket, GB Colour and GBA SP
-Have owned every form of DS besides 2DS and 3DS XL, currently have a Lite, DSiXL and 3DS.
-PS1/2 + Vita
-Sega Mega Drive
-GameGear

GBC
GBA SP
DS
DSi (my bro's)
GameCube
WiiU (my bro's)
PC
iPhone

And honestly, I'm sad of having been brought in a Nintendo environment.
Most of the good games that existed on Nintendo consoles were also featured on the Sony and Microsoft equivalents.
But most of the very good games that existed on Sony and Microsoft consoles were not available on Nintendo equivalents.
Also, did you know that for some games, such as NBA 2K12, X360, PS3 and PC had the new gen version, while the Wii still had the version that was for XBOX and PS2?

My next console will be a Gen3 from Sony or Microsoft, but I'm still undecided. I just figured that for once in my lifetime I should try games that have been updated since the 90's you know (if you wonder why I hate, it's because I realize that my teenagehood has been childhood because of videogames lol). As much as I like PlayStation, I still prefer the XBOX controllers. But then again having tried the Gen4 controllers (which both are awesome) I really don't know.

Also, I don't see a lot of Microsoft lovers here. But nobody can deny that the most performant gaming console is from Microsoft. 'Console.' And most of the tools that were used to create the best games as well. Plus Bill Gates' body may not be ready, but he's still a great man.

EDIT: I'm actually really happy with my GameCube, it's got loads of great games. But the other consoles, not that much. GB/GBA, we can forgive. But on NDS, I've played a heck of a lot of games, and aside from HeartGold (nostalgia factor) and Picross3D (a logic game) there's no game that I really fancy. On the Wii, graphics were horrible and most games looked like prototypes more than final products. Favourite game: none. On the WiiU... that console is an awesome concept. But there's little to no use in their cool Pro controllers, the GamePad brings multiplayer to a new level (well new... it was used in the GBA+GC days really), but the games aren't worth it. ZombiU... the promise. The reason why people wanted the WiiU so much... sorry but I've seen flash puzzle games better than that. And WatchDogs, second promise... let's announce it, and then take 6 more months before making it come out. Sure, people like me who've preordered are plain happy right now.

Let's be realistic though. I like Nintendo.
But now... all I want is to be able to buy the game I'm working on Cry

Fact: There are no more PC games. They're all Steam games.
Bill sure wasn't ready for it.

Still, Steam is a selling software. Steam is to games what iTunes is to music, Netflix to movies and Amazon to books.
There remains the fact that the console in itself is a PC. Without a computer, we can assume that Steam would not go far.

Granted, Origin and uPlay aren't the best examples, but some people like them.

Not to mention the hundreds of devs that sell their games on their own sites.  Yeah they eventually get to Steam, but that's because it's a popular platform.  Doesn't make them "Steam Games."  Also, believe it or not, some people still sell physical copies for their PC games, and many people prefer quickly installing their games rather than downloading them.

Well, it's its own system now. The Steam OS is available to download even though in beta and Steam machines are on their way. Wink

Gaben always credits MS for the success for steam, and will continue to support it.

He only lies if there is a 3 in the sentence.

He already said he doesn't expect everyone to buy steam machines and steam os because its not for everyone. It's almost exclusive for gaming, if you want to game and do normal Pc stuff? Windows 7/8

Also @ Rosim

I have 141 games on Steam, so steam would count as a console.

I'm excessively surprised, nobody wants to kill me because I said bad things about Nintendo? Oh well, I'll find another way to die then Tongue.
@Magoo: Even though Steam has its own system, the PC is to this day still the most used game console.
@Steel: I played 100 games with my R4, does that make it a console? Steam is a storage device + buying device. Nobody says that Amazon is a console.
