So I have been meaning to start a nuzlocke run of black for a while now. And I saw kloud made a journal for her nuzlocke run of platinum, so I thought why not make one for the one I am about to do. So yeah.
The rules I will be using for this run:
1. Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released as soon as possible.
2. I may only catch the first pokemon that I encounter in each area. If I encounter a pokemon I have already caught, if I choose not to catch it it doesn't count. Gifts and in-game trades and such count for the area they are in.
3. A black out/white out is a "game over" even if there is pokemon in a PC box left
4. I have to nickname all Pokemon I obtain.
5. I am not allowed to trade unless it is with a NPC
6. I am not allowed to use the daycare
My current party:
Alpha the Snivy - Level 11 - Male - Overgrow - Kanoko town
Beta the Minezumi - Level 7- Female - Run Away - Route 2
Gamma the Panpour - Level 10 - Male - Gluttony - Site of Dreams
Alpha the Snivy - Level 12 - Male - Overgrow - Kanoko town
Delta the Panpour - Level 12 - Male - Gluttony - Site of Dreams
In boxes:

Dead:
Beta the Minezumi - Level 4- Female - Keen Eye- Route 1
Gamma the Chroroeko - Level 6 - Female - Limber - Route 2
And here is a list of things that have happened, like in kloud's nuzlocke run topic. All times are MST.
1/3/2011:
11:35pm: Picked my starter(Snivy), Beat my rivals and made this topic. Yaaay. I still haven't named him yet(because you don't until you go to Prof... I forget's lab), but I will name him alpha. And the next pokemon beta. and the next gamma. and so on.
1/4/2011:
12:33am: I just beat N.
12:40am: And on route 2 the first pokemon I encountered was... Minezumi. i was hoping for a Yoterry(I encountered one on route 1, but I count Prof. Arrangi's tutorial as a encountered pokemon so I couldn't catch it >_>)
1:30am: Beat Belle on route 2. Beta is now level 6 and Alpha is level 10
2:07am: Got Gamma the Hiyappu in the Site of Dreams.
10:14 pm: I just beat Cheren in the first gym's city. OFF TO GYM #1!

1/5/2011:
2:37am: So i died to the frst gym. And now that ludicom is back up, I can put this here. Anyways, I'm currently in route two nd own two pokemon, and have one deceased.
1/7/2011:
4:13pm: Gamma died. IHATECRITICALHITSIHATECRITICALHITSIHATECRITICALHITSIHATECRITICALHITS
5:10pm: Got Delta the Panpour
6:00pm: beat the Sanyou city gym. Alpha got to 1hp twice...

tbh counting the tutorial as an encountered poke shouldnt really happen cos you didnt encounter it, the npc character encountered it. you just watched  just sayin also props for using the smug as starter  speed is actually what you need in this game, especially to avoid dieing so smug is perfect |

Seriously, some random wild pokemon got five of them in a row. Which ended up causing Gamma to die. Because it was doing more damage then a potion can heal.
Just slightly more.
And I didn't think to switch to Alpha.

The curse of Nuzlocke? xD Also, I've read stories where people cheat their rules on Nuzlocke (as in, searching the grass more than you're supposed to or not letting dead Pokemon to a box or release, etc). Apparently, it's common for that Pokemon to end up dead before the end of the run. Karma? xP |
