Pokemon the Origins is Subbed for English. The dubbing is in process, but if you just can't wait, watch them here.

A new Pokemon anime that is made for a more older audience. It is based on the plots of red/blue.
It's also more violent and more like the first Pokemon games.

It is only being ran for a limited amount of episodes.

The 'More Violent' is the manga, Pokemon Adventures. Origins wasn't all that violent.

It's 4 episodes, 20ish minutes long to be specific by the way

Yup.

I think that we can all agree on how disappointed we were when we first found out :-\

Yeah. All it is is a special that was put together for the reasons mentioned before. Kinda like the one episode specials for the Mystery Dungeons. Or the Pokemon Cronicles Spinoff.

Just watched the first episode. Holy crap is it better than the regular anime. Red seemed to learn more in an episode than Ash has since the 90's...

I think the whole point is that origins was meant to be short special, so they tried to make red learn a lot more, but with ash that series has been going on for decade+ now, and they need to drag it out to make a season, if it took ash an episode to reach the next town or to get the next gym badge, it'd be over in like 8-10 episodes. Rather then the 70-90 that they have.

There's a difference between knowledge and rushing.
Zohaib is talking about how Red caught on stuff more quickly how he is all around more intelligent than Ash.
Ash is just the same old ignorant brat as he was the first episode.

oh this anime does the gyms in an interesting way
Brock asks Red how many badges he has and then selects what mons he used based on the answer, in this case none yet
so gyms have teams based on the opponent's level curve

It also explains Gen 2's Post Game. What it doesn't explain is when you skip a Gym or two and end up Overleveled when you go back to battle them later.

Maybe it's like the games, and you have to do them in order, can't just go skip gyms, because random sleeping snorlaxes and what not.  O0

No, I mean when in games you skip Gyms. I know for a fact that you can get past the sleeping snorlaxes to go on to Koga and Sabrina before you fight Ericka, and I know for a fact Geovoni can be fought the moment you clear Team Rocket out of Saffron City.
