It's taking forever to get promoted to Firefighter Level 9 since I maxed out the Athletic and Handiness skill. Is this normal?

That sounds useful, I have never managed to get a vacation house yet.  That would come in handy, do you know if it was on Mod the Sims or not?

Edit: I did some research and the mod you are talking about was removed from Mod the Sims for being "Too Cheaty" but there are others that make easier to gain Visa Points.
Of all my saves, my Riverview save is the only one that has a vacation house.

Anyways, how much Simoleons do you guys have?

Barnacle Bay save: 600 000 Simoleons (Thief Level 10 and Breaking Space Rocks)
Bridgeport save: 190 000 Simoleons (Acting Career Level 10, selling the stuff the fans are sending me, Gigs, and Playing for Tips)
Riverview: 2 000 000 Simoleons (Internationational Super Spy, Writing)
Sunset Valley: 640 000 Simoleons (Chef and Hacking, then Astronaut and Painting)
Twinbrook: 100 000 Simoleons (Shopping Music DJ, then Firefighter and Inventing)

I'm not overly keen on WA. I want relaxing holidays, not adventures... Was ok when I had my VISA mod but I've lost it. I want a holiday home right away Grin
Coz it's all adventure now I tend to just buy the stuff I need off the debug menu.

I haven't ever noticed a lot of bugs to be honest... But I use to many mods that if I saw one I'd presume it was a conflict anyway lol
Well, to get relaxing holidays, you need to raise your Visa level, so you have to go adventuring. At least there are no mummies in China and France.

It did add a bunch of sometimes game breaking bugs that don't exist in other expansions.  And now that I think of it, Generations is a bit annoying, with everything you do having that damn "Your sim just >insert Something Anyone Can Do Here<!" everytime you do something.
The 1.24 patch fixed that bug.

Anyways, have you guys experienced the bug where the items you bought from the vacation worlds disappear when you go back home? It's really annoying, especially when I bought the Fortune Cookie Maker, Training Dummy, and Board Breaker (2775 Simoleons in total) from Shang Simla. I only had about 10000 that time so I was kind of pissed that my 2775 went down the drain.

They are EXTREMELY rare though and I have never had one happen.  Plus you can walk out of the way before it hits you.

Doesn't ruin the game as much as WA xD
There's a bug in Generations that raised the chances of meteors. And how did WA ruin Sims 3?
I've never had meteor strikes on mine. Never even heard of it and I got ambitions the day it was released and played loads. Hmm need to find a mod for this Grin

The No Chance doesn't work anymore, though.

I always liked Twinbrook more than Bridgeport.  But alot of people don't have Ambitions so I'm kind of alone on that xP

But recently I've been focusing on my family in Bridgeport.  Well, it was originally going to be a superstar actress and Drummer (Named him DJ Izzle).  But the actress became a vampire and DJ is now and old man, but since the actress is a Vampire she live MUCH longer and won't even become and adult for 108 days.

And when it comes to The Sims 2, I got Seasons to add to my list of expansions, but after I installed it it screwed it up the file layout or something and now I have to uninstall the full game.
Ambitions is a really good EP, but, the meteor strikes are really annoying. It makes the game unplayable.

Talk about anything related to the Sims series of video games! This counts The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 3, MySims and all the expansions for said games.
