Tan long pants is fine. They just need to look like khakis. And even then, there's some wiggle room. Pleanty of the women at my target actually wear white pants. They just can't be jeans, and they have to be a tan-like colour.
They're tan, and have velco pockets on the leggings. :x

There's a remote you use to make it go forward. Set up up to 25 carts and steer by pulling the front most cart. But I personally hate using it because I run over my foot all the damn time, so I just do 6 at a time by hand. Still, your trainer will show you how to use it more in depht.

Do they get mad if you don't bring in a huge line of carts or are they okay with doing a few at a time? ._.

Like I said, I usually do 6 at a time and never use the pusher. If you're using the pusher, it's typically because you're pushing more than 12 carts at a time. The important thing is keeping a healthy supply of carts so you can do your other jobs as cart attendant (reshop, stocking spill stations, basket runs, bathroom check and returning coat hangers to the back room). You're not supposed to move more than 7 carts at a time by hand because of risk of back injury, but if it's right there, feel free to go up to 8 or 9. Since things will be slowing down soon, it should be easy enough. My recommendation, keep at least 3 rows worth of carts in the cart atrium if you want to take your breaks on time.

Well, Cart attendant sometimes is caught up with carts to the point where they can be left for a while. Durring this time, the most common thing to do is Reshop, where you put returns or 'I decided against buying this' items back on the shelves. You can use either a PDA or an iPod to find where they go. It's hard to read at first, but ask for an explanation, and it'll make sense. Cart Attendants also get hazmat certified, and will clean spills in the isles when they happen. Normally it's just food and drinks, but if it is a hazardous material, you're trained for it and you'll have the resources you need in the spill stations, assuming they've been kept stocked. In particular, you'll be the one they call if someone bleeds everywhere. You'll also have to bring the shopping baskets to the basket stations around the store. Your trainer will tell you how many should go where. Every hour on the half (8:30, 9:30, ect) you'll need to check the restrooms. Make sure they're clean and stocked. Relatively easy. Worst thing you should have to do is mop some pee. And finally, the coat hangers they take from the clothes they sell will be put into a large rolling trashcan. You'll have to bring these hangers to the back room for them to get reused, normally throwing them into one big box or several small boxes.

I guess that's just extra stuff so he doesn't have to lean against a wall and wait.

Pretty much. Target works in waves. It'll go from zero to 50 in 3.5, stay that way for a few hours, calm down for a while, pick up again for a few, and then calm down at the end of the day. While I prefer working carts in the evening due to it being more calm longer, it's more convenient to work mornings, which means I get the hectic hours. But I still think cart attending is the most relaxing thing, and it's the single most important job in the store.

Well I went to walmart looking for red shirts. All I found in my size was a deep, almost purple red long sleeve shirts and a couple of not remotely winter ready short sleeve red shirts.

All because I don't know if they have to be plain red or if they can like plaid or something.

I'm gonna freeze :c
