Why so many monitors?

I don't have money for a new laptop and this one still outperforms pretty much all cheap netbooks/tablets. I was actually going to upgrade to a dual core and add more RAM before the fan decided to not work right.

It only runs when the laptop gets hot enough to burn the thermal paste, I replaced it and the thermal paste but it didn't fix anything. My only ideas is a malfunctioning sensor somewhere, and the only other thing I can think would fix it is replacing the motherboard but it's hard to find and expensive. Maybe someday I will have money for a decent laptop :C
