In all honesty, its really not that bad. I just started doing my A-levels in September and before all the teachers where yammering on about how much harder its going to get, but it really doesn't seem to be. Sure, I'd say the work is slightly harder, but you get a lot more time to do it in and its not really too much of a leap unless you do something like Further Maths which genuinely is quite difficult. Definitely better than Secondary education imo
Of course in Australia you'll probably be doing something slightly different, but I imagine that the education systems shouldn't differ too much.
